The Ellwood City Wolverine (Ellwood City, PA) baseball trounced the host Laurel Spartans (New Castle, PA), 10-3 in Thursday's non-league challenge.

The Wolverine now own a 9-4 record. They take the field next when they host Beaver Falls for a WPIAL 3A 1 challenge on Tuesday, April 22. Ellwood City will clash with a Tigers team coming off a 16-0 league loss to Mohawk Area (Bessemer, PA). The Tigers record now stands at 2-7.

With the defeat, Laurel drops to 4-7 on the year. The Spartans host Aliquippa (Aliquippa, PA) to clash with the Quips in a WPIAL 2A 2 challenge on Tuesday, April 22.
