April 17, 2025: Kettering, OH 45429 The Fairmont Firebirds baseball team scored 6 runs and held the visiting Springboro Panthers to 3 in the Firebirds league win on Thursday.
The Firebirds now hold a 8-5 record. They take the field next when they host Centerville for a Greater Western Ohio test on Friday, April 18. Fairmont will play a Elks team coming off a 13-3 league win over Springfield (Springfield, OH). The Elks record now stands at 7-1.
With the defeat, Springboro drops to 6-4 on the year. The Panthers travel to Miamisburg (Miamisburg, OH) to play the Vikings in a Greater Western Ohio test on Friday, April 18. The Vikings go into the test with a record of 4-6. Miamisburg won 3-0 in their recent league test against Wayne (Huber Heights, OH)
