Virginia High School Baseball - James Madison edges West Springfield
April 17, 2025: Vienna, VA 22181 The James Madison Warhawks baseball team scored 17 runs and held the visiting West Springfield Spartans to 14 in the Warhawks non-league win on Thursday.
The Warhawks now hold a 12-1 record. They take the field next when they host South Lakes for a Concorde test on Tuesday, April 22. James Madison will play a Seahawks team coming off a 5-3 non-league loss to Fort Dorchester (North Charleston, SC). The Seahawks record now stands at 3-6.
With the defeat, West Springfield drops to 10-1 on the year. The Spartans host Fairfax (Fairfax, VA) to play the Lions in a Patriot test on Tuesday, April 22. The Lions go into the test with a record of 3-8. Fairfax lost 16-4 in their recent non-league test against Grassfield (Chesapeake, VA)
