New Jersey High School Lacrosse - Cranford can't hold off Verona
April 17, 2025: Cranford, NJ 07016 Verona Hillbillies (Verona, NJ) followers exited the stadium in high spirits Thursday as they saw their lacrosse team nudge the host Cranford Cougars (Cranford, NJ), 10-9 in a non-league game.
With the victory, Verona advances its record to 6-1 on the season. The Hillbillies travel to Cedar Grove (Cedar Grove, NJ) to play the Panthers in a non-league game on Wednesday, April 23. The Panthers come into the game with a record of 3-3.
The Cougars now sport a 2-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Watchung Hills Regional for a non-league game on Saturday, April 19. Cranford will play a Warriors team coming off a 13-8 league loss to Ridge (Basking Ridge, NJ). The Warriors record now stands at 2-6.
