Kansas High School Soccer - Maize knocks off Newton
April 17, 2025: Newton, KS 67114 The Maize Eagles soccer squad scored 6 points and held the host Newton Railroaders to 0 in the Eagles non-league victory on Thursday.
The Eagles now hold a 6-2 record. They play next when they host Derby for a Ark Valley-Chisholm Trail Division I bout on Tuesday, April 22. Maize will play a Panthers squad coming off a 2-1 non-league loss to Eisenhower (Goddard, KS). The Panthers record now stands at 9-1.
With the loss, Newton moves to 2-7 on the year. The Railroaders host Andover (Andover, KS) to play the Trojans in a non-league bout on Tuesday, April 22. The Trojans go into the bout with a record of 3-5.
