Oklahoma High School Soccer - Poteau nudges Sallisaw
April 17, 2025: Poteau, OK 74953 In Thursday's league outing, the host Poteau Pirates soccer squad scored a tight 3-2 victory over the Sallisaw Black Diamonds.
The Pirates (6-5) will now prepare for their outing against Stilwell (Stilwell, OK). The Indians go into the 4A District 6 outing with a 1-9 record. In their last outing, Stilwell was edged by Victory Christian (Tulsa, OK), 8-0, in a non-league outing.
Next up, the Black Diamonds confront the Hilldale Hornets (Muskogee, OK) in a 4A District 6 outing, on Tuesday, April 22. Sallisaw will attempt to improve on its 15-1 season record. The Hornets go into the outing with a 12-2 record after their 7-1 league win over McLain Science & Tech (Tulsa, OK).
