Indiana High School Softball - Bremen can't get by Glenn
April 17, 2025: Walkerton, IN 46574 Glenn Falcons (Walkerton, IN) backers left the game pleased Thursday as they saw their softball squad nudge the visiting Bremen Lions (Bremen, IN), 5-4 in a league game.
With the triumph, Glenn upgrades its record to 5-3 on the year. The Falcons host Plymouth (Plymouth, IN) to play the Pilgrims/Rockies in a non-league game on Saturday, April 19. The Pilgrims/Rockies enter the game with a record of 3-2. Plymouth won 18-2 in their recent non-league game against Triton (Bourbon, IN)
The Lions now own a 3-6 record. They play next when they travel to South Central for a non-league game on Saturday, April 19. Bremen will play a Satellites squad coming off a 5-1 non-league win over Jimtown (Elkhart, IN). The Satellites record now stands at 2-2.
Game Summary
Lady Lions comeback falls short at Glenn by a score of 5-4
Glenn started the game in Walkerton with 5 straight hits plating 3 runs. The Falcons then added 2 more runs in the bottom of the 3rd inning to jump out to a 5-0 lead.
The Lady Lions finally crossed home plate after Delainy Nehr lead off the frame with a free pass, a Bella Calentine sacrifice bunt moved Violet Marsh (courtesy runner for Nehr) and a single by Kenzie Scott scored Marsh.
In the top of 5th inning, Peyton Johnson doubled, then with 2 outs, the Lions tallied 4 straight singles. Johnson scored on a single by Chrissy Grabowski, Nehr singled to put runners at 1B & 2B. Calentine then singled scoring Grabowski, and Madi Milleman singled to score Marsh running for Nehr.
That was all Winning pitcher Timm would allow claiming a 5-4 INSC Conference win.
