South Pontotoc Cougars (Pontotoc, MS) supporters left the game pleased Thursday as they saw their softball squad nudge the host Houston Hilltoppers (Houston, MS), 5-1 in a non-league game.

With the triumph, South Pontotoc improves its record to 17-7 on the year. The Cougars travel to Itawamba Agricultural (Fulton, MS) to play the Indians in a non-league game on Thursday, April 24. The Indians enter the game with a record of 23-6.

The Hilltoppers now hold a 9-20 record.
