In Thursday's league challenge, the South Point Red Raiders (Belmont, NC) softball squad triumphed over the visiting North Gaston Wildcats (Dallas, NC), by a count of 12-2.

Next, the Red Raiders meet the West Brunswick Trojans (Shallotte, NC) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, April 21. South Point will attempt to upgrade on its 11-5 season record. The Trojans enter the challenge with a 5-10 record after their 6-3 league loss to Topsail (Hampstead, NC).

The Wildcats (7-11) will now prepare for their challenge against Crest (Shelby, NC). The Chargers enter the Big South 3A challenge with a 17-2 record.
