April 17, 2026: Rootstown, OH 44272 The Rootstown Rovers baseball team scored 3 runs and held the visiting Garfield G-Men to 2 in the Rovers non-league win on Friday.
The Rovers now hold a 2-5 record. They take the field next when they host Berkshire for a Chagrin Valley - Valley test on Monday, April 20. Rootstown will play a Badgers team coming off a 8-5 non-league loss to West Geauga (Chesterland, OH). The Badgers record now stands at 3-3.
With the defeat, Garfield drops to 2-5 on the year. The G-men host Maplewood (Cortland, OH) to play the Rockets in a non-league test on Saturday, April 18. The Rockets go into the test with a record of 4-2. Maplewood lost 13-7 in their recent league test against Badger (Kinsman, OH)
