Cloudland Highlanders (Roan Mountain, TN) fans exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Guerin Gators (River Grove, IL), 6-4 in a non-league challenge.

The Highlanders now sport a 4-2 record. They take the field next when they host University for a A District 1 challenge on Monday, April 22. Cloudland will face a Buccaneers squad coming off a 6-2 league loss to Sullivan North (Kingsport, TN). The Buccaneers record now stands at 1-5.

With the loss, Guerin falls to 10-8 on the campaign. The Gators travel to Rosary (Aurora, IL) to face the Royals in a non-league challenge on Monday, April 22. The Royals enter the challenge with a record of 4-7. Rosary won 7-3 in their recent non-league challenge against Elmwood Park (Elmwood Park, IL)
