Maine High School Lacrosse - South Portland holds off Thornton Academy
April 18, 2023: Saco, ME 04072 The South Portland Red Riots (South Portland, ME) lacrosse tipped the host Thornton Academy Trojans (Saco, ME), 5-4 in Tuesday's league outing.
With the win, South Portland upgrades its record to 1-1 on the season. The Red Riots travel to Massabesic (Waterboro, ME) to battle the Mustangs in a Class A South outing on Friday, April 21. The Mustangs go into the outing with a record of 0-2. Massabesic lost 15-3 in their recent non-league outing against Biddeford (Biddeford, ME)
With the defeat, Thornton Academy drops to 2-1 on the season. The Trojans host Falmouth (Falmouth, ME) to battle the Navigators in a non-league outing on Saturday, April 22. The Navigators go into the outing with a record of 2-0. Falmouth won 15-4 in their recent non-league outing against Kennebunk (Kennebunk, ME)
