Spectators at Thursday's non-league battle between the Copper Basin Cougars (Copperhill, TN) and the visiting Hiwassee Dam Eagles (Murphy, NC), saw Copper Basin's baseball squad knock off Hiwassee Dam by a count of 7-3.

Coming up next, the Cougars play the Sequoyah Chiefs (Madisonville, TN) in a non-league battle, on Friday, April 19. Copper Basin will attempt to move on its 3-11 season record. The Chiefs enter the battle with a 8-11 record after their 14-1 non-league loss to McMinn Central (Englewood, TN).
