New Covenant Gryphons (Lynchburg, VA) supporters were pleased Thursday as they observed their soccer team hold off the visiting Grace Christian School Kings (Mechanicsville, VA), 3-2 in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Gryphons confront the Miller School of Albemarle Mavericks (Charlottesville, VA) in a challenge, on Friday, April 19. New Covenant will attempt to move on its 6-2 season record. The Mavericks enter the challenge with a 2-2 record after their 6-0 league loss to North Cross (Roanoke, VA).
