The Anthem Prep Eagles (Anthem, AZ) softball routed the host Desert Heights Prep Yote (Glendale, AZ), 16-2 in Thursday's league bout.

The Eagles (11-9) will now prepare for their bout against Red Rock (Sedona, AZ). The Scorpions go into the non-league bout with a 5-7 record. In their last bout, Red Rock toppled Leading Edge Academy - GEC (Gilbert, AZ), 31-8, in a non-league bout.

The Yote now possess a 7-5 record. They play next when they travel to Mayer for a 1A West bout on Friday, April 19. Desert Heights Prep will confront a Wildcats squad coming off a 22-18 non-league loss to Maryvale Prep (Phoenix, AZ). The Wildcats record now stands at 0-12.
