New Jersey High School Softball - Sterling bounces Gateway Regional
April 18, 2024: Somerdale, NJ 08083 Spectators at Thursday's non-league match between the Sterling Silver Knights (Somerdale, NJ) and the visiting Gateway Regional Gators (Woodbury Heights, NJ), witnessed Sterling's softball squad prevail over Gateway Regional by a count of 12-2.
The Silver Knights now sport a 1-3 record. They play next when they host West Deptford for a Colonial - Liberty match on Friday, April 19. Sterling will face a Eagles squad coming off a 3-1 non-league win over Haddon Township (Westmont, NJ). The Eagles record now stands at 6-2.
With the loss, Gateway Regional moves to 1-6 on the season. The Gators travel to Haddonfield (Haddonfield, NJ) to face the Bulldawgs in a Colonial - Patriot match on Friday, April 19. The Bulldawgs go into the match with a record of 1-2. Haddonfield lost 11-1 in their recent league match against Paulsboro (Paulsboro, NJ)
