April 18, 2024: Union City, NJ 07087 The Montclair Mounties (Montclair, NJ) softball routed the host Union City Soaring Eagles (Union City, NJ), 8-1 in Thursday's non-league bout.
The Mounties (2-6) will now prepare for their bout against West Essex (North Caldwell, NJ). The Knights go into the non-league bout with a 0-9 record. In their last bout, West Essex was routed by Lakeland Regional (Wanaque, NJ), 16-9, in a non-league bout.
The Soaring Eagles now possess a 6-3 record. They play next when they travel to Mahwah for a non-league bout on Saturday, April 20. Union City will confront a Thunderbirds squad coming off a 11-1 non-league loss to River Dell (Oradell, NJ). The Thunderbirds record now stands at 0-8.
