Valley Central Vikings (Montgomery, NY) fans exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad achieve victory over the host Monticello Panthers (Monticello, NY), 21-1 in a league challenge.

The Vikings now sport a 6-0 record. They take the field next when they host Washingtonville for a Orange County Division III challenge on Monday, April 22. Valley Central will face a Wizards squad coming off a 11-1 non-league loss to Wallkill (Wallkill, NY). The Wizards record now stands at 0-4.

With the loss, Monticello falls to 0-5 on the campaign. The Panthers travel to Eldred (Eldred, NY) to face the Yellowjackets in a non-league challenge on Friday, April 19. The Yellowjackets enter the challenge with a record of 1-2.
