The Centralia Orphans baseball squad (Centralia, IL), was edged 7-6 in Friday's non-league contest with the visiting Murphysboro Red Devils (Murphysboro, IL)

With the triumph, Murphysboro moves its record to 9-8 on the season. The Red Devils host Herrin (Herrin, IL) to confront the Tigers in a Southern Illinois River-to-River - Ohio contest on Monday, April 21. The Tigers come into the contest with a record of 7-9. Herrin won 5-4 in their recent league contest against Carterville (Carterville, IL)

The Orphans now possess a 8-7 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Belleville East for a non-league contest on Monday, April 21. Centralia will confront a Lancers squad coming off a 2-0 non-league loss to Columbia (Columbia, IL). The Lancers record now stands at 14-5.
