The Boyd County Lions overwhelmed the visiting Logan Wildcats softball squad by a count of 16-1 in Friday's non-league challenge.

Next, the Lions meet the Lakota East Thunderhawks (Liberty Township, OH) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, April 19. Boyd County will attempt to upgrade on its 13-9 season record. The Thunderhawks go into the challenge with a 7-4 record after their 9-4 league loss to Oak Hills (Cincinnati, OH).

The Wildcats (12-3) will now prepare for their challenge against St. Vincent-St. Mary (Akron, OH). The Fighting Irish go into the non-league challenge with a 5-5 record. In their last challenge, St. Vincent-St. Mary toppled Cloverleaf (Lodi, OH), 15-6, in a non-league challenge.
