Massachusetts High School Softball - Gloucester edges Georgetown
April 18, 2025: Gloucester, MA 01930 The Gloucester Fishermen softball team scored 5 runs and held the visiting Georgetown Royals to 3 in the Fishermen non-league win on Friday.
The Fishermen now possess a 8-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Peabody Veterans Memorial for a Northeast battle on Monday, April 21. Gloucester will confront a Tanners team coming off a 7-6 non-league win over Bishop Fenwick (Peabody, MA). The Tanners record now stands at 4-2.
With the loss, Georgetown moves to 2-1 on the season. The Royals host Ipswich (Ipswich, MA) to confront the Tigers in a Cape Ann Baker battle on Monday, April 21. The Tigers come into the battle with a record of 1-4. Ipswich lost 14-6 in their recent non-league battle against Winthrop (Winthrop, MA)
