In Friday's non-league match, the host Old Bridge Knights softball team scored a tight 9-6 victory over the Matawan Regional Huskies.

The Knights (4-5) will now prepare for their match against Sayreville (Parlin, NJ). The Bombers go into the non-league match with a 4-2 record. In their last match, Sayreville tipped J.P. Stevens (Edison, NJ), 10-0, in a league match.

In their next game, the Huskies battle the Middletown South Eagles (Middletown, NJ) in a non-league match, on Tuesday, April 22. Matawan Regional will attempt to better on its 3-4 season record.
