April 19, 2022: Yucaipa, CA 92399 The Huntington Beach Oilers nudged the host Yucaipa Thunderbirds baseball team by a tally of 3-2 in Tuesday's non-league bout.
The Oilers now hold a 17-9 record. They take the field next when they host Villa Park for a non-league bout on Wednesday, April 20. Huntington Beach will face a Spartans team coming off a 5-4 non-league win over Servite (Anaheim, CA). The Spartans record now stands at 21-2.
Next, the Thunderbirds face the Beaumont Cougars (Beaumont, CA) in a Citrus Belt bout, on Saturday, April 23. Yucaipa will attempt to advance on its 16-5 season record. The Cougars enter the bout with a 12-11 record after their 4-2 league loss to Cajon (San Bernardino, CA).
