April 19, 2023: Charmco, WV 29598 Spectators at Wednesday's non-league battle between the Nicholas County Grizzlies (Summersville, WV) and the host Greenbrier West Cavaliers (Charmco, WV), saw Nicholas County's baseball squad knock off Greenbrier West by a count of 10-7.
Coming up next, the Grizzlies play the Shady Spring Tigers (Shady Spring, WV) in a Coalfield AA battle, on Friday, April 21. Nicholas County will attempt to move on its 12-4 season record. The Tigers enter the battle with a 11-5 record after their 22-3 league win over PikeView (Princeton, WV).
The Cavaliers (6-8) will now prepare for their match against James Monroe (Lindside, WV). The Mavericks go into the Coalfield A match with a 11-5 record. In their last match, James Monroe edged Summers County (Hinton, WV), 4-2, in a non-league match.
