Illinois High School Softball - Sherrard can't get by Mercer County
April 19, 2023: Aledo, IL 61231 In Wednesday's non-league contest, the Mercer County Golden Eagles (Aledo, IL) softball team held off the visiting Sherrard Tigers (Sherrard, IL), by a margin of 2-1.
With the triumph, Mercer County moves its record to 2-0 on the year.
In their next game, the Tigers play the Erie-Prophetstown Panthers (Erie, IL) in a contest, on Thursday, April 20. Sherrard will attempt to move on its 5-3 season record. The Panthers come into the contest with a 6-2 record after their 16-10 non-league win over Hall (Spring Valley, IL).
