April 19, 2023: Blacksburg, SC 29702 In Wednesday's non-league contest, the Spartanburg Vikings (Spartanburg, SC) softball team overwhelmed the host Blacksburg Wildcats (Blacksburg, SC), by a margin of 14-6.
With the triumph, Spartanburg moves its record to 5-9 on the year. The Vikings travel to Gaffney (Gaffney, SC) to play the Indians in a AAAAA Region 2 contest on Thursday, April 20. The Indians come into the contest with a record of 6-6. Gaffney lost 7-6 in their recent non-league contest against Riverside (Greer, SC)
In their next game, the Wildcats play the Chester Cyclones (Chester, SC) in a non-league contest, on Friday, April 21. Blacksburg will attempt to move on its 2-3 season record. The Cyclones come into the contest with a 6-10 record after their 9-8 non-league loss to Whitmire (Whitmire, SC).
