April 19, 2023: McDonald, PA 15057 The South Fayette Lions softball team (McDonald, PA), was routed 6-0 in Wednesday's non-league test with the visiting Burrell Bucs (Lower Burrell, PA)
Coming up next, the Bucs encounter the Shady Side Academy Bulldogs (Pittsburgh, PA) in a WPIAL 3A 1 test, on Friday, April 21. Burrell will attempt to improve on its 1-3 season record. The Bulldogs enter the test with a 0-4 record after their 18-1 non-league loss to South Allegheny (McKeesport, PA).
The Lions (6-5) will now prepare for their test against New Castle (New Castle, PA). The Hurricanes enter the WPIAL 5A 3 test with a 3-5 record. In their last test, New Castle tipped Shenango (New Castle, PA), 9-6, in a non-league test.
