April 19, 2024: Hudson, NC 28638 The Alexander Central Cougars softball team (Taylorsville, NC), was routed 8-3 in Friday's league test with the host South Caldwell Spartans (Hudson, NC)
Coming up next, the Spartans encounter the Ashe County Huskies (West Jefferson, NC) in a Northwestern 3A/4A test, on Tuesday, April 23. South Caldwell will attempt to improve on its 17-0 season record.
The Cougars (14-3) will now prepare for their test against Lake Norman (Mooresville, NC). The Wildcats enter the non-league test with a 13-6 record. In their last test, Lake Norman tipped Cox Mill (Concord, NC), 10-1, in a league test.
