In Friday's league test, the Century Centurions (Ullin, IL) softball squad overwhelmed the host Meridian Bobcats (Mounds, IL), by a tally of 21-2.

Next, the Centurions play the Elverado Falcons (Elkville, IL) in a South Egyptian challenge, on Tuesday, April 23. Century will attempt to upgrade on its 5-6 season record. The Falcons enter the challenge with a 11-8 record after their 14-4 league win over Shawnee (Wolf Lake, IL).

The Bobcats (3-10) will now prepare for their challenge against Cairo (Cairo, IL). The Pilots enter the non-league challenge with a 0-2 record. In their last challenge, Cairo was routed by Egyptian (Tamms, IL), 22-2, in a non-league challenge.
