April 19, 2025: Clare, MI 48617 The Clare Pioneers (Clare, MI) baseball trounced the visiting Cheboygan Chiefs (Cheboygan, MI), 9-1 in Saturday's non-league challenge.
The Pioneers now own a 3-4 record. They take the field next when they host Farwell for a Jack Pine challenge on Tuesday, April 22. Clare will clash with a Eagles team coming off a 16-8 non-league win over St. Louis (St. Louis, MI). The Eagles record now stands at 3-2.
With the defeat, Cheboygan drops to 0-3 on the year. The Chiefs host Rudyard (Rudyard, MI) to clash with the Bulldogs in a Straits Area challenge on Tuesday, April 22. The Bulldogs go into the challenge with a record of 0-4. Rudyard lost 15-0 in their recent non-league challenge against Alpena (Alpena, MI)
