In Saturday's non-league game, the host Manhattan Indians baseball team scored a close 7-0 victory over the Garden City Buffaloes.

The Indians (6-2) will now prepare for their battle against Washburn Rural (Topeka, KS). The Blues enter the Centennial battle with a 5-4 record. In their last battle, Washburn Rural held off Emporia (Emporia, KS), 5-1, in a league battle.

Next, the Buffaloes face the Liberal Redskins (Liberal, KS) in a Western Athletic battle, on Tuesday, April 22. Garden City will attempt to upgrade on its 4-7 season record. The Redskins enter the battle with a 4-8 record after their 4-1 non-league loss to Olathe East (Olathe, KS).
