Ohio High School Softball - Athens sneaks past Philo
April 19, 2025: The Plains, OH 45780 The Athens Bulldogs softball team scored 15 runs and held the visiting Philo Electrics to 14 in the Bulldogs non-league win on Saturday.
The Bulldogs now possess a 9-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Vinton County for a Tri-Valley - Ohio battle on Monday, April 21. Athens will confront a Vikings team coming off a 6-0 league loss to Wellston (Wellston, OH). The Vikings record now stands at 2-5.
With the loss, Philo moves to 7-8 on the season. The Electrics host Morgan (McConnelsville, OH) to confront the Raiders in a Muskingum Valley battle on Monday, April 21. The Raiders come into the battle with a record of 7-5. Morgan won 5-2 in their recent league battle against New Lexington (New Lexington, OH)
