The Dimond Lynx edged the visiting Bettye Davis East Anchorage Thunderbirds softball squad by a count of 9-8 in Saturday's non-league challenge.

Next, the Lynx play the Chugiak Mustangs (Chugiak, AK) in a Cook Inlet challenge, on Monday, April 21. Dimond will attempt to upgrade on its 1-0 season record. The Mustangs enter the challenge with a 2-0 record after their 8-0 non-league win over Ketchikan (Ketchikan, AK).

The Thunderbirds (0-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Dimond (Anchorage, AK). The Lynx enter the Cook Inlet challenge with a 1-1 record.
