Roane County Raiders (Spencer, WV) supporters left the game thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad topple the host Fairmont Senior Polar Bears (Fairmont, WV), 15-7 in a non-league game.

With the triumph, Roane County improves its record to 10-5 on the year. The Raiders host South Harrison (Lost Creek, WV) to face the Hawks in a Little Kanawha game on Monday, April 21. The Hawks enter the game with a record of 4-9. South Harrison won 15-7 in their recent non-league game against Elkins (Elkins, WV)

The Polar Bears now hold a 6-8 record. They play next when they host Robert C. Byrd for a Big Ten game on Monday, April 21. Fairmont Senior will face a Eagles squad coming off a 18-6 non-league loss to St. Marys (St. Marys, WV). The Eagles record now stands at 0-14.
