Fremont Eagles (Fremont, IN) backers left the game pleased Saturday as they saw their softball squad nudge the visiting Manchester Squires (North Manchester, IN), 11-8 in a non-league game.

With the triumph, Fremont upgrades its record to 5-2 on the year. The Eagles host Westview (Topeka, IN) to play the Warriors in a Northeast Corner game on Monday, April 21. The Warriors enter the game with a record of 2-2. Westview won 22-3 in their recent non-league game against Fort Wayne North Side (Fort Wayne, IN)

The Squires now own a 4-5 record. They play next when they host Adams Central for a non-league game on Tuesday, April 22.
