The crowd at Wednesday's non-league match between the Burns Bulldogs (Lawndale, NC) and the host North Gaston Wildcats (Dallas, NC), saw Burns's softball squad nip North Gaston by a count of 7-6.

The Bulldogs now sport a 16-2 record. They take the field next when they host Shelby for a Southern Piedmont 1A/2A match on Tuesday, April 26. Burns will face a Golden Lions squad coming off a 14-11 league win over Bessemer City (Bessemer City, NC). The Golden Lions record now stands at 4-10.
