Cactus Shadows Falcons (Cave Creek, AZ) backers exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Desert Mountain Wolves (Scottsdale, AZ), 13-12 in a league challenge.

The Falcons now own a 17-5 record. They take the field next when they host Horizon for a 5A Northeast Valley challenge on Thursday, April 21. Cactus Shadows will battle a Huskies squad coming off a 13-10 league loss to Cactus Shadows (Cave Creek, AZ). The Huskies record now stands at 12-16.

With the loss, Desert Mountain falls to 25-3 on the campaign. The Wolves host Paradise Valley (Phoenix, AZ) to play the Trojans in a 5A Northeast Valley contest on Friday, April 22. The Trojans come into the contest with a record of 8-11. Paradise Valley lost 5-3 in their recent league contest against Desert Mountain (Scottsdale, AZ)
