April 20, 2022: Palos Heights, IL 60463 In Wednesday's non-league contest, the Shepard Astros (Palos Heights, IL) softball team overwhelmed the visiting St. Laurence Vikings (Burbank, IL), by a margin of 15-5.
With the triumph, Shepard moves its record to 6-2 on the year. The Astros host Evergreen Park (Evergreen Park, IL) to play the Mustangs in a South Suburban contest on Thursday, April 21. The Mustangs come into the contest with a record of 11-1. Evergreen Park won 19-0 in their recent league contest against Blue Island Eisenhower (Blue Island, IL)
In their next game, the Vikings play the Sandburg Eagles (Orland Park, IL) in a non-league contest, on Saturday, April 23. St. Laurence will attempt to move on its 5-5 season record. The Eagles come into the contest with a 3-8 record after their 18-8 league loss to Bolingbrook (Bolingbrook, IL).
