New York High School Softball - DeRuyter holds off McGraw
April 20, 2023: McGraw, NY 13101 The DeRuyter Rockets the host McGraw Eagles softball squad by a count of 15-13 in Thursday's non-league battle.
The Rockets (2-1) will now prepare for their battle against Stockbridge Valley (Munnsville, NY). The Indians go into the Section 3 Central Counties - American battle with a 4-0 record. In their last battle, Stockbridge Valley nudged Madison Central (Madison, NY), 9-0, in a league battle.
The Eagles now sport a 1-4 record. They play next when they host Marathon for a non-league battle on Friday, April 21. McGraw will meet a Olympians squad coming off a 15-3 league win over Moravia (Moravia, NY). The Olympians record now stands at 2-2.
