Illinois High School Softball - Salt Fork topped by Marshall
April 20, 2024: Sidell, IL 61876 Marshall Lions (Marshall, IL) supporters left the game pleased Saturday as they saw their softball squad thwart the host Salt Fork Storm (Sidell, IL), 13-1 in a non-league game.
With the triumph, Marshall improves its record to 14-5 on the year. The Lions host Paris (Paris, IL) to play the Tigers in a Little Illini game on Monday, April 22. The Tigers enter the game with a record of 9-11. Paris lost 7-2 in their recent league game against Newton (Newton, IL)
The Storm now hold a 6-11 record. They play next when they host Bismarck-Henning/Rossville-Alvin for a non-league game on Wednesday, April 24. Salt Fork will play a Blue Devils squad coming off a 10-0 league win over Iroquois West (Gilman, IL). The Blue Devils record now stands at 16-7.
