Illinois High School Softball - West Aurora knocked off by Normal University
April 20, 2024: Aurora, IL 60506 In Saturday's non-league contest, the Normal University Pioneers (Normal, IL) softball team overwhelmed the host West Aurora Blackhawks (Aurora, IL), by a margin of 14-1.
With the triumph, Normal University moves its record to 14-5 on the year. The Pioneers host Decatur Eisenhower (Decatur, IL) to play the Panthers in a Central State Eight contest on Tuesday, April 23. The Panthers come into the contest with a record of 2-13. Decatur Eisenhower lost 36-0 in their recent non-league contest against Blue Ridge (Farmer City, IL)
In their next game, the Blackhawks play the Plainfield East Bengals (Plainfield, IL) in a Suburban Prairie - South contest, on Monday, April 22. West Aurora will attempt to move on its 6-7 season record. The Bengals come into the contest with a 6-7 record after their 5-0 league win over Romeoville (Romeoville, IL).
