The Grayson County Blue Devils overwhelmed the host Eastern Montgomery Mustangs softball squad by a count of 12-6 in Monday's non-league challenge.

Next, the Blue Devils meet the Fort Chiswell Pioneers (Max Meadows, VA) in a Mountain Empire challenge, on Friday, April 24. Grayson County will attempt to upgrade on its 10-3 season record. The Pioneers go into the challenge with a 4-8 record after their 7-3 non-league loss to Chilhowie (Chilhowie, VA).

The Mustangs (9-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Parry McCluer (Buena Vista, VA). The Yosemite Sam go into the Pioneer challenge with a 3-7 record. In their last challenge, Parry McCluer was routed by Rockbridge County (Lexington, VA), 22-0, in a non-league challenge.
