Illinois High School Baseball - Pittsfield defeats Jersey
April 21, 2023: Pittsfield, IL 62363 Pittsfield Saukees (Pittsfield, IL) fans exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they observed their baseball squad overcome the visiting Jersey Panthers (Jerseyville, IL), 8-2 in a non-league test.
With the win, Pittsfield upgrades its record to 14-3 on the season. The Saukees host Liberty (Liberty, IL) to battle the Eagles in a non-league test on Tuesday, April 25. The Eagles come into the test with a record of 4-9. Liberty lost 8-6 in their recent non-league test against Mendon Unity (Mendon, IL)
With the defeat, Jersey falls to 8-12 on the season. The Panthers host Waterloo (Waterloo, IL) to clash with the Bulldogs in a Mississippi Valley game on Monday, April 24. The Bulldogs go into the game with a record of 7-5.
