Spectators at Friday's non-league match between the Bishop McNamara Fightin' Irish (Kankakee, IL) and the visiting Reed-Custer Comets (Braidwood, IL), witnessed Bishop McNamara's softball squad tip Reed-Custer by a count of 10-7.

The Fightin' Irish now sport a 10-4 record. They play next when they host Clifton Central for a non-league match on Saturday, April 22. Bishop McNamara will meet a Comets squad coming off a 8-1 non-league loss to Manteno (Manteno, IL). The Comets record now stands at 9-7.

With the loss, Reed-Custer moves to 4-9 on the season. The Comets host Wilmington (Wilmington, IL) to meet the Wildcats in a Illinois Central Eight match on Monday, April 24. The Wildcats go into the match with a record of 3-13. Wilmington lost 14-3 in their recent league match against Herscher (Herscher, IL)
