New York High School Softball - General Brown nudges Carthage
April 21, 2023: Carthage, NY 13619 General Brown Lions (Dexter, NY) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Carthage Comets (Carthage, NY), 5-4 in a league match.
The Lions now sport a 3-1 record. They play next when they host Belleville Henderson Central for a non-league match on Saturday, April 22. General Brown will face a Panthers squad coming off a 11-1 non-league loss to Thousand Islands (Clayton, NY). The Panthers record now stands at 1-3.
With the loss, Carthage moves to 0-4 on the season. The Comets travel to Copenhagen (Copenhagen, NY) to face the Golden Knights in a non-league match on Monday, April 24. The Golden Knights go into the match with a record of 0-2. Copenhagen lost 13-1 in their recent non-league match against Sandy Creek (Sandy Creek, NY)
