Illinois High School Softball - Minooka holds off Providence Catholic
April 21, 2023: New Lenox, IL 60451 Spectators at Friday's non-league match between the Minooka Indians (Minooka, IL) and the host Providence Catholic Celtics (New Lenox, IL), witnessed Minooka's softball squad tip Providence Catholic by a count of 9-7.
The Indians now sport a 8-9 record. They play next when they host Neuqua Valley for a non-league match on Saturday, April 22. Minooka will meet a Wildcats squad coming off a 5-2 league loss to Metea Valley (Aurora, IL). The Wildcats record now stands at 5-7.
With the loss, Providence Catholic moves to 9-7 on the season. The Celtics host Resurrection (Chicago, IL) to meet the Bandits in a GCAC- Red match on Monday, April 24. The Bandits go into the match with a record of 6-5. Resurrection won 9-8 in their recent league match against Fenwick (Oak Park, IL)
