April 21, 2023: Leesburg, AL 35983 The crowd at Friday's non-league match between the Sand Rock Wildcats (Leesburg, AL) and the visiting White Plains Wildcats (Anniston, AL), saw Sand Rock's softball squad nip White Plains by a count of 2-1.
The Wildcats now sport a 12-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Oak Mountain for a non-league match on Saturday, April 29.
With the loss, White Plains falls to 21-13 on the campaign. The Wildcats travel to Arab (Arab, AL) to face the Knights in a non-league match on Saturday, April 22. The Knights enter the match with a record of 0-11. Arab lost 11-5 in their recent league match against Brewer (Somerville, AL)
