Washington, DC High School Baseball - Gonzaga holds off Sidwell Friends
April 21, 2025: Washington, DC 20001 The Gonzaga Eagles baseball team scored 9 runs and held the visiting Sidwell Friends Quakers to 5 in the Eagles non-league win on Monday.
The Eagles now own a 13-9 record. They take the field next when they host St. John's for a Washington Catholic test on Tuesday, April 22. Gonzaga will play a Cadets team coming off a 17-0 league win over Bishop McNamara (Forestville, MD). The Cadets record now stands at 21-1.
With the defeat, Sidwell Friends drops to 12-5 on the year. The Quakers travel to Washington-Liberty (Arlington, VA) to play the Generals in a non-league test on Wednesday, April 23. The Generals go into the test with a record of 9-7. Washington-Liberty lost 4-2 in their recent league test against Yorktown (Arlington, VA)
