Indiana High School Baseball - New Castle holds off Shenandoah

April 21, 2025: New Castle, IN 47362

The New Castle Trojans baseball team scored 14 runs and held the visiting Shenandoah Raiders to 10 in the Trojans non-league win on Monday.

The Trojans now hold a 3-7 record. They take the field next when they host Delta for a Hoosier Heritage test on Tuesday, April 22. New Castle will play a Eagles team coming off a 20-2 non-league win over Eastbrook (Marion, IN). The Eagles record now stands at 3-4.

With the defeat, Shenandoah drops to 5-2 on the year. The Raiders host Blue River Valley (Mt. Summit, IN) to play the Vikings in a Mid-Eastern test on Tuesday, April 22. The Vikings go into the test with a record of 4-1. Blue River Valley won 11-9 in their recent non-league test against Blackford (Hartford City, IN)
