The crowd at Friday's league bout between the Escalon Cougars (Escalon, CA) and the visiting Ripon Indians (Ripon, CA), observed Escalon's softball team notch a victory over Ripon by a final score of 11-1.

The Cougars (9-11) will now prepare for their bout against Sonora (Sonora, CA). The Wildcats go into the Trans Valley League bout with a 2-19 record. In their last bout, Sonora gained a win over Venture Academy (Stockton, CA), 5-2, in a non-league bout.

In their next game, the Indians battle the Hughson Huskies (Hughson, CA) in a Trans Valley League bout, on Tuesday, April 28. Ripon will attempt to better on its 16-6 season record. The Huskies go into the bout with a 15-3 record after their 12-2 league win over Orestimba (Newman, CA).
